An approach to avoid child abandonment and illegal or legal abortion

Every pregnant woman should have the right to refuse maternal responsibility

Every pregnant woman who comes to the conclusion that she is unable to raise a child, must be given unconditional protection during the remaining phase of her pregnancy, and after having given birth to the child, this woman is free from any maternal duty towards her child.

The pregnant woman must legally confirm her will to abandon the child in her womb. From that moment the unborn child in her womb is free for being adopted by another couple.

We differentiate two ways of adoption: anonymous adoption and early adoption. Early adoption means that the biological mother expresses her wish to know the future parents of her child. The child care system may then find a couple who agrees to do an early adoption.

Elaborating and implementing this new law might potentially save public money: the public health care system can reduce its infrastructure for abortion in its hospitals because only abortions for medical reason will be done.

Even if it would turn out to be more expensive: there is no way around this law change if we want to save the life of the unborn child.
