About parrhesia, boldness and pride

Parrhesia (from Greek παρρησία parrhēsía (πᾶν “all” and ῥῆσις “utterance, speech”) meaning literally “to speak everything” and by extension “to speak freely”, “to speak boldly”, or “boldness”. (via Wikipedia)

So it seems that “boldness” is the best word to use when speaking about παρρησία.

Boldness is easily perceived as arrogance or hate speech. Or both.
